Splish Splash Swimwear began using Profit Point in November 2005 and continues to use it today. User friendly, fast support and great staff to deal with are just a few of the great benefits it provides our business.
Introducing Profit Point to our stores and head office has meant fewer overheads in the business. The biggest saving being wages. Our most important, yet time consuming task of re-ordering stock is now done by a few buttons and a report from our Head Office. It does not take our sales assistants away from customers ensuring excellent customer service is provided. Not only does this save us time, but the accuracy is keeping costs down as well. We have noticed a large decrease in left-over stock at the end of season which means our ordering is very accurate, and an increase in profits.
When deciding to purchase the Profit Point POS our first concern was the distance. With our stores being located in Cairns and Port Douglas, and Profit Point located in Brisbane, we did have our doubts about having a good support base from Profit Point. Our concerns were soon laid to rest as we received prompt, efficient and friendly support service from the guys. Any problem we encountered was soon fixed through a little more coaching and easy tutorial through their CA support network which gave on screen training.
Even a stocktake is no longer scary! The process is made simple with easy to follow instructions.
Our sales assistants love their new POS system. Many are computer illiterate and they find it very user friendly.
One of the best benefits of Profit Point is that they are constantly improving their system. They listen to their customer’s feedback on what works well, what needs improvement, where we need more information.

The windows based touch screen till is so user friendly that even our employees who are scared of a computers, effortlessly put through sales and other stock transactions. You can expand the system very easily when adding extra tills to your store or opening new stores.
At the press of a few buttons you are able to see all stock holdings at all stores and instantly transfer stock in or out.
There are many other features that greatly assist in running our business and these include the ease of:
- Reporting on store stock holdings on a store by store basis or having an overall stock holding.
- You are also able to get up to the minute information on credit notes, lay-bys and customer loyalty.
Backup support has always been of the highest standard and any queries and problems have been attended to and resolved immediately.
I have no hesitation in recommending the Profit Point/Counter Attack solution to anyone thinking of installing a POS system.
It is truly a great program.

We operate 3 retail shops, a wholesale shop, 2 online shops, and temporary show shops. We have 10 Counter Attack tills that back up every night through a broadband connection. The transfer of data between shops and server and vice versa at night is a seamless operation.
We have been clients of Profit Point for 14years. There have been dramatic improvements in the communication aspects of the software and the data storage issues of the past are no longer of concern. The various dramas of Y2K and Microsoft operational problems have been attended to as they arose in a professional manner by the Profit Point team.
At store level, the easy operation of the touch screens allow the staff to master the till operations quickly and confidently. The till operation side is easily understood by new staff and they rapidly become very competent with its logical progressions through the till sale stages. The various requirements of lay-by, account sale, hold sale and unusual sales are easily operated by newish staff.
The regular updating of the software to allow for better performance, both at retail and back end is one of the positive features of the software.
The software has been easily adapted to our requirements of a hardware store with fashion components. The lay-by system has always been a strong feature of the Profit Point software. It is a major component of our business. Also, there is a loyalty program that we have installed and prepared to run, but we haven’t activated it due to our lack of retail requirement. We believe that it will be an ideal system if we should proceed to activate it in the future.
Back end reporting has always been a great strength of the software and it is only limited by your enthusiasm. There are a multitude of standard reports that can have many parameters available. In addition, you can also produce reports of your own making in an easy manner.
This business has expanded from a single shop through to our current level and we feel comfortable that the software has continued to support us through the many changes and our specialised requirements. I have no concerns that the system will cover us for any future expansion requirements.

The work conducted with the integration of the Fuji Digital Photo Centres is top shelf and saves time and increases accuracy. It works beautifully!
